AATSR: Level 3 University of Leicester Land Surface Temperature (LST) product (UOL_LST_3P), v2.1
Abstract
Land Surface Temperature (LST) Level 3 gridded data products (UOL_LST_3P) from the Advanced Along Track Scanning Radiometer (AATSR) produced by the University of Leicester.
The data consists of global gridded Level 3 product at a pre-defined set of spatial and temporal resolutions. The product provide AATSR-derived land surface temperature data and its associated uncertainty, as wall as additional auxiliary information.
The gridded level 3 product has been derived from the 1km Level-2 AATSR Version 3 LST product (UOL_LST_2P). The Level 3 gridded product was produced under funding from the National Centre for Earth Observation (NCEO).

Data lineage: |
The Land Surface Temperature product was derived by the University of Leicester, from the AATSR radiance data acquired by the European Space Agency's (ESA) Envisat satellite. The Level 3 data product was derived from the Level 2 product which forms part of the ESA (A)ATSR multimission data product. The Level 3 data product is archived at the NERC Earth Observation Data Centre (NEODC). |

Title | Level 3 University of Leicester Land Surface Temperature (LST) Product (UOL_LST_3P) |
Abstract | This product is the Land Surface Temperature (LST) Level 3 gridded data product (UOL_LST_3P) from the Advanced Along Track Scanning Radiometer (AATSR), produced by the University of Leicester. The Level 3 product provides global gridded Land Surface Temperature and its associated uncertainty, as well as additional auxiliary information, at a pre-defined set of spatial and temporal resolutions. Only cloud-free pixels are included in the averaging process. For further details on the Level 3 product please refer to the (A)ATSR LST L3P product user guide. The Level 3 LST product has been produced from the Level 2 AATSR LST Product (UOL_LST_2P), which is included in the ESA (A)ATSR multimission dataset (3rd version only). The data were produced by the University of Leicester under funding from the National Centre for Earth Observation (NCEO), and are now held by the NERC Earth Observation Data Centre (NEODC). The Level 2 LST product was produced under funding from ESA, with additional funding from the NCEO. |
